On July 31, Wan Guangming, Mayor of Nanchang City, held the 19th executive meeting of People’s Government of Nanchang City in 2024. It was listened at the meeting the report on the city-wide advancement of large-scale equipment renewals and trade-in of old consumer goods, and researched and reviewed the “Implementation Plan of Nanchang City for the Reform of the Division of Fiscal Powers and Expenditure Responsibilities of Cities and Counties (Districts) in the Field of Science and Technology (Draft for Review)”, etc.

It was pointed out at the meeting that to advance the large-scale equipment renewals and trade-in of old consumer goods plays a significant role in promoting investment and consumption and accelerating industrial transformation and upgrading. Departments at all levels in the city should make full and good use of policy bonus, strengthen accurate docking of supply and demand, strengthen project planning, do a good job in publicity, fully motivate all parties, advance such four major actions in a powerful and orderly manner as equipment renewals, trade-in of old consumer goods, recycling, and standard improvement, form an effective mechanism of “being easier and more willing to substitute the new with the old”, and boost Nanchang’s high-quality development with the actual efficacy in the large-scale equipment renewals and trade-in of old consumer goods.
